Producer / DJ / Composer  Rene Arsenault touched down in New York City in 1995. After playing drums in dirty LES dive bars and DJing sweat-soaked loft parties he co-founded NYC-based music production / DJ collective Onda in 2000.

In 2001, Rene became Tom Ford’s musical director for his Gucci and YSL runway shows (including his debut YSL collection). Rene’s ability to seek out genre-bending tracks, craft remixes and eclectic soundscapes for the runway soon caught the attention of designers around the world, including Diane Von Furstenberg, Hugo Boss, Thierry Mugler,  Tommy Hilfiger, John Varvatos, Betsey Johnson, Cynthia Rowley, Marchesa, Cushnie Et Ochs, Z Zegna and others.

As a remixer, Rene has reworked tracks by Justin Timberlake, M.I.A., Feist, Cubic Zirconia, Bloc Party & The Scanners and provided original scores for YSL’s “La Nuit De L’Homme,” Givenchy’s “Dahlia Noir” and Calvin Klein’s “Free” ad campaigns. Rene has also held DJ residencies at NYC’s Bungalow 8, Submercer & Morgans Hotel and has furnished soundtracks for countless events, parties and store openings.

Rene currently resides in NYC and Los Angeles and recently formed Riot City, a production team with Grammy-nominated producer Billy Mohler.  The duo is writing and producing albums for Conway (Columbia), ARO (Aimee Osbourne) and has collaborated with Lady Gaga, Beth Ditto, Sia, Dragonette and other artists.
